Photo Contest at the museum
Photo Exhibit open to the public from 5- 8 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, & 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022
Location: Meeting Room of the Lawrence County History Museum, 929 15th Street, Bedford (Northside of the Courthouse Square). Parking lot available on north side of building.
Submit entries
Submit photos from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 23.
Entry fee: $5 per entry (Exhibit as many as you like)
Original artwork: Shot by the photographer.
Does not have to be shot in the last calendar year. Photos entered in the contest in prior years may not be entered again.
Categories:
1. Limestone in Architecture.
2. Limestone in Scenery (quarry pictures, limestone outcroppings, limestone cuts, etc.).
3. General Limestone (anything with limestone as a feature within the photo that doesn’t fit into one of the other categories.
Size Qualifications: 5x7 inches or larger, but no larger that 11x15 inches. Entries must be matted or framed. Must be ready to hang (wire or sawtooth hangers).
Judging: First, second and third places in each category.
All entries eligible for Best of Show: Voting for the Best of Show by ballot during exhibition ($100 cash prize)
Entry Returns
Photos may be picked up from 3-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 25 or during museum hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning June 28.
