1948 FADA Radio Table model Television Receiver

The Fada Radio & Electirc Co. was located on Long Island, New York. Manufactured circa 1948. Used 30 tubes. Table model, low profile (big size) Power—alternating current supply (AC) 117 volts.

1888-1929 Table model Silverstone wind-up Phonograph Record Player

Edison Disc Records
The early Edison record label pioneered sound recording in 1888 producing reproductions on wax cylinders. Founder Thomas A. Edison’s company, Edison Phonograph Company was an independent distributor. 

A 1912 technical improvement—the Edison Diamond Disc Record was a popular type of phonograph record marketed by Edison Record label from 1912 to 1929.

1929 Atwater Kent Model 55 Radio

The Model 55 radio was manufactured in 1929. Furniture makers made cabinets to complement the chassis of these high-end radios.
The $175 price was expensive, but payment plans made it more affordable.
Model 55 was built with quality in mind, advertised as an “outstanding achievement.” 
Many different furniture makers in Philadelphia made cabinets for Atwater Kent radios.
Some models had doors that opened and closed making it appear as an item of furniture.
