Mathes to his girlfriend, Hester Ann Rogers, who lived in Bedford, Ind.  Mathes was first in the Indiana Fifteenth Volunteer Infantry and later in the then new Signal Corps. The Mathes letters speak of Civil War news from 1861 to 1865 at locations on the Western Front of the Union Army of the Cumberland.  $30.00 plus shipping.
