Historic art
(l-r) Woodland pioneer scene, circa 1799, is thought to be the oldest painting in the museum’s collection. It was donated in 1947 by Don Richard Lucas.
At right is an ink drawing by Mary E. Clousey dated 1874. It was exhibited at Bedford High School’s first art exhibit. At the time, the house in the drawing was the home of the Winstandley family on Lincoln Ave. (L St.)
The plaster cast was made in 1870. At right, Artist August Mack with his limestone relief sculpture of Lindbergh.
