Limestone Heritage Festival Photography Contest
The Lawrence County Museum is hosting its annual Limestone Heritage Festival Photography Contest on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Entries will be accepted on Friday, June 5, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Photos must include limestone in some fashion and fit into the categories of: Limestone in Architecture; Limestone in Nature and General Limestone. There are two age divisions, Youth for those 17 and under; and adult for those 18 and above.
Entrants are vying for a People’s Choice Award in both age divisions, based on votes from the public. People’s Choice winners will receive a special ribbon and $50 in the youth division and $100 in the adult division. Ribbons will be awarded to the first, second and third place photos in each category and in each age division.
Entry fee is $5 per entry. Entries must be framed and can be no smaller than 5x7 and no larger than 11x17.
Photos may be picked up from 4-5 p.m. on June 6, or during regular museum hours the following week, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday.
